I'm Jenn Mroz. I write books about zombies, mermaids, ghost hunts, and mutated rodents plotting to take over the wilderness. If I had a choice between having a unicorn for a pet or going mummy hunting in the booby-trapped pyramids, I'd take the mummy any day of the week. I love to illustrate - animals, people, monsters. You name it - I'll draw it.
When I'm not writing, blogging, or drawing, I'm teaching Latin in a wonderful high school in Maine. This is a good thing - I can talk about grammar as much as I want, I get to tell mythology stories, and I also get to share my love of vocabulary with my students.
I like the great outdoors, but I'm not so great at all the activities that take place outdoors. For example - I understand the concept of skiing. Can I ski? Well, I can slow myself down just enough to have only a mild crash. I go hiking sometimes, but I like to stop and pick the blueberries mid-way up the trail. By the way, if anyone ever tells you they are only stopping to look for blueberries, they are lying to you. They are stopping to catch their breath. Don't tell them I told you. One of these days, I'd like to learn to kayak. Right now I'm at the stage where I just kind of paddle myself around in circles while I yell for help.
If there's a topic you'd like to see me post about (a review of a certain book or product, a grammar issue, my opinions about whales) please send me a message through the contact form. Don't hesitate to get in touch!
